Clues

1) The article that made Riley Shaw famous - or infamous - ended with a retraction.
2) Neither Benji Carr nor Lila Torres were involved in the case with Harriet Cole.
3) The five uniques cases are the one involving journalist Sam McCreedy, the one initiated by Harriet Cole, the case that was withdrawn, the so-called "chef controversy", and the one initiated by Lexi Hains.
4) Of the case with the confidential outcome and the one that ended with a settlement, one was related to business debt and the other was about questionable city council deals.
5) Marco Vale had first written to journalist Dana Kim asking for her story to be amended, but when the email was ignored he initiated legal action.
6) Benji Carr is a fierce and passionate journalist who isn't afraid to make waves! The case he was involved in did not have the confidential outcome, nor was it withdrawn.
7) Mina O'Rourke was so mad at the outcome of "No Liability" for her case that she approached a rival newspaper to interview her about what happened. The article was not written by Benji Carr.
8) One plaintiff had their business impacted by an article that claimed they were already in significant debt to multiple businesses and unable to pay their bills when they began work to add a large extension to their building. The plaintiff argued that the amounts owed were unpaid due to disputes, not financial difficulty. The journalist who wrote the article was either Sam McCreedy or Benji Carr.
9) One business person was accused of spying (espionage) for a foreign government in an article that went viral. As a result of the legal proceedings, the newspaper had to publish a retraction of the earlier article.
10) Quite a few readers were shocked to read about multiple city council deals that allegedly benefited one individual. The author of this article was not Sam McCreedy.
